Magnetic Eyeliner and Lashes- Review

If you’ve ever struggled with applying false lashes or have gotten glue all over your eye, I’d like to introduce you to magnetic eyeliner and lashes. This was a completely new concept to me and I was very intrigued to try it. I purchased a couple pairs of Ardell Magnetic Liner & Lash kits from Ulta Beauty. One pair is a corner lash, meaning it does not go all the way across the eye. The pair I decided to try is a full lash strip in the style Wispies– I believe this is the most popular style Ardell sells because it gives a natural appearance to the eye.

How it Works

The Ardell Magnetic Liner & Lash kit comes with a small jar of magnetic eyeliner, a mini sized angled brush, one pair of lashes and retails for approximately $15.00. According to the instructions on the packaging, there are only two steps to follow: apply two coats of magnetic liner to the upper lash line and adhere the lash strip to the liner. Sounds easy enough, right? Watch the video below to see how I apply the lashes and my thoughts on the process.

Final Thoughts

I wore the magnetic lashes/ liner all day and into late evening. They felt the same as having on any other pair of lashes. I will say that when I sneezed, the inner corner of the left lash popped off. This could have been due to an error on my part because I only applied one coat of liner instead of two. Fortunately, it was a quick fix- I applied a small amount of magnetic liner to the inner corner and the lash attached perfectly. I do wish the liner went on smoother but it’s certainly not a deal breaker for me. Removing the lashes and liner was very easy! I didn’t have to tug at my lash line to remove the lash strip. They came right off and the best part was not having to pick off any sticky glue residue from my natural lashes. Overall, I think magnetic liner and lashes is great alternative for anyone that might have a latex allergy, has a hard time with lash glue or just starting out with wearing false lashes. These lashes are reusable and I will definitely put them to use again. They probably won’t replace my extensive lash collection and lash glue but I would urge you to try them out if you’ve been on the fence about it.
